Fly into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). It is located 8 miles from the Grand Hyatt hotel. The approach into DCA provides a beautiful view day or night.
DO NOT use Dulles International Airport. It is not convenient and too expensive. Located 40 miles from the hotel, it is a 1½ hour car ride costing approximately $80 one way.
It is a 15-minute car ride, costing approximately $20 via taxis, Lyft, or Uber. Pickups are located outside baggage claim.
Alternatively, it is also a 15-minute subway ride. Take the Yellow Line north from National Airport to Gallery Place Metro station. Transfer to the Red Line, go west for 1 stop, and exit at Metro Center subway station. There is a subway station inside the Grand Hyatt hotel. Metro Center subway station is the central hub for the Metro subway system. An escalator at the Metro station brings you straight into the hotel lobby ($2.75 one way subway ride).
During your stay at the Grand Hyatt, access the Metro subway system from the escalator inside the hotel or call a cab out front to travel anywhere in the city.
